NSWCAG 20th Anniversary Party

To mark the 20 year anniversary of NSW Consumer Advisory Group – Mental Health Inc., we are having a cocktail party to honour the achievements of the past and mark our vision for the future. 

The cocktail party will be held at the NSW Mint on Wednesday 3 December, 6:30-9:00PM. 

The event will include canapés, drinks and live entertainment. 

Tickets are $100 per person ($30 for concession).

All proceeds will go towards assisting NSWCAG in its work to further enhance consumer participation.

2014 Recovery in Art

The Recovery in Art Exhibition was held from 8-10 October. 

The exhibition showcased more than 100 artworks created by people with a lived experience of mental illness. 

It was launched by newly-appointed NSW Governor His Excellency General David Hurley, NSW Mental Health Minister Jai Rowell and NSW Member for Sydney Alex Greenwich.

Recovery Forum

NSWCAG held its annual Recovery Forum on Thursday 4 September.

The day was a huge success! The theme for the 2014 Recovery forum is ‘Whole of Health’. 
There was lively discussion on how mental health is connected to other components of health – physical, emotional, social, environmental and spiritual health. 

There were panel discussions, group activities and a whole range of interactive workshops on everything from art, exercise and nutrition, poetry, storytelling, goal setting and the environment.
